I received this ARF a couple of months and have done some work on it but have put this jewel to the side to work on another project. Well, now I have decided to get back to this project and finish it up here on our bulletin Board.

This jet is a beauty right out of the box, the paint job is just fantastic. The fuel tank is a great fit, the struts need some reengineering, and I am using Tams wheels and brakes, which are a great match.

I am using 143oz analog servos to power all surfaces except for the elevator I might use Hitec HSR-5995TG for radio it will be a 2.4GHz DX7 or X9303. My turbine of choice is a Simjet 3000 which puts out 30lbs of thrust and I have tested it on my thrust stands and it meets its claims. The acceleration is very fast, faster than any turbine I have ever owned. More to come…

I am currently working on the retracts. I am using Robart 630 retracts and Robart struts. The Retracts require some slight cuting to get them to fit. I grabbed the retracts and sized them up to the pockets the I set up my mill to get the exact fit. The overall width is 46.35mm as you can see in the photos to get them to fit. It did require like countryboy to cut the bottom so that the retract would fit a little better.

I measured the wheel housing and feel that a 72mm wheel would be best in this application. There is not much play for a 3” wheel. More to come……
